The owners manual says, to flat tow: 1. Position the vehicle to be towed and secure it to the towing vehicle. 2. Put the vehicle in N Neutral. 3. Shut the engine off vehicle will remain in accessory mode. 4. Disconnect the negative - terminal connector from the 12-volt battery. 5. Close the hood of the vehicle How can I use a Supplemental Braking System if I need to disconnect the battery? Thanks.

To use supplemental braking that draws power from a battery like the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TRon a vehicle that has the battery disconnected would require you to install the outlet kit part # RM-9332 on the battery. This allows you to disconnect the battery from the vehicle but allow the battery to power the braking kit.
