Question:
To install either a Curt or Draw-Tote hitch on 2021 Mustang Mach-E a 5x8inch portion of bumper facia needs to be cut and removed. Is this a difficult or tricky procedure? New and expensive car. Dont want to do anything that undermines car or ultimately resale value. Thanks.

Installing either the Curt # C77ER or the Draw-Tite # DT92MR on your 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E does indeed require trimming of the bumper fascia due to the hidden nature of how they install. This can be a bit daunting as it is your brand new vehicle, but fret not for it is not too difficult to accomplish.
You can do this a few ways, but slow and steady will make for cleaner and straighter lines. To start, measure twice, mark with painters tape, or something similar, and then verify your measurement. I am easily distracted and sometimes forget how I measured and like to really make sure I have everything correct before cutting. You can always move the tape, but once you start cutting, it's a lot more difficult to fix. With that said, you have a few options for what to use.
We do this a lot, so we tend to use a reciprocating saw as it will be the quickest way to go. If you do not have one of these or are not in a hurry, my recommendation is to use a rotary tool with a cutting disc attachment. This will be a slower method, but will be much easier to control. If this isn't an option, you can even use a hacksaw. This will definitely be the slowest method as there is not a whole lot of room to move it around, but it will definitely work. I've seen someone use heavy duty metal shears once, but that looked overly difficult and wouldn't be the way I would recommend.
I included a picture of the cut out for both hitches as a reference as well, but as the # DT92MR sticks out a little less than the Curt, I recommend going with the Draw-Tite.
