Features to know about

Carry More Gear Without Compromising Style: 2" Class III Receiver with Concealed Cross Tube

This Class III hitch gives you a 2" x 2" receiver opening that’s perfect for bike racks, cargo carriers, or small trailers. The main body is concealed, leaving only the receiver visible for a clean, OE-like look under the bumper. You get the utility of a hitch without changing your vehicle’s appearance or ground clearance.

Built Strong for Everyday Use: Precision-Welded Steel Rated to 2,000 lbs GTW and 200 lbs TW

The fully welded, square-tube steel construction is engineered to handle light towing and hauling tasks. It’s tested in accordance with SAE J684 safety standards and rated for 2,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 200 lbs maximum tongue weight. Whether you’re mounting a rack or pulling a small trailer, the strength and stability are built in.

Simple at-Home Install: Bolt-On Design with No Welding Required

Installing this hitch doesn’t require special tools or drilling. It bolts directly to existing frame points using included hardware, making it a straightforward project for most DIY setups. The open-back receiver design also makes it easy to clean out dirt or debris once it’s mounted.

Protected Finish for Long Service Life: Dual-Coated Against Rust

A gloss black powder coat is applied over a protective base layer to shield against corrosion from rain and road grime. The durable finish keeps the hitch looking sharp and prevents rust from spreading inside or out, so it stays solid season after season.

The hitch fit perfectly exactly as you said it would. There was no problem installing at all. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who needs a hitch, etc

by:

Went on great . Regular tools were all that was needed.

by:

Great product!! All fit as stated.

by:

This was easier to install than I thought. Fishing the line with the bolt and metal piece was easy. I then lifted the hitch, tightened and torque. One important note, the bolt is 11/16 not 7/16 as indicated in the directions.

by:

The hitch fit perfectly and was very easy to install. My son and I were able to install it in about an hour and a half.

I have used it numerous times and it works great. I havent had any issues with it.

by:

There were 14+ 10mm bolts that need to be removed. Installation was pretty simple even for a person who's never installed a hitch. Curt has a video explaining fishwiring bolt process. That's the only part that stumped me.

by:

Installation required cutting a slot in the lower (non-visible) part of the plastic bumper. ETrailer’s instruction and template worked perfectly and fit the first time. Also, there was some question as to whether or not the foot wave method of opening the rear hatch would still work, but I have had no problems with that.

by:

Great fit. Great instructions.

by:

Great product, not the easiest to install on the new Mach-E, but good directions.

by:

Nice fit and finish, fit well on my new ford mach-e. Easy to install

by:

Overall it's a well-made, quality hitch. My mechanic said it was a straightforward installation to my Mustang Mach-E, which was good, since I was only billed for an hour of his time!

Although it was installed for my bike rack, I've not yet attached my Küat rack to carry our bikes just yet.

I've not rated it 5 stars, since it now obscures the under-bumper sensor that requires a simple 'kick' under the bumper to auto-open the rear hatch.

I am hoping to find a workaround for this, as it's a nice feature to have when my hands are full and I need to open the hatch.

I reached out to the manufacturer about this and they said that the hitch should not impede the hands free feature. They said you may need to kick a little further under than you normally would without the hitch installed.

by:

The package arrived on schedule. Installation of the hitch is straightforward for an experienced mechanic. I like the result. Fits like a glove.

by:

Amazing simple buying process and quick shipping. Super easy to install, and works just as planned to carry bikes!

by:

Awesome to do business with excellent products and have always appreciated the quality.

Fits perfect and great install video

This fit my Mach E GT Rally perfectly. My bike rack slides right in. Thanks!

by:

After building trailer hinges in the 70s, this hitch is fabricated very well and strong, and the fit was amazing less than an hour, and it was done, once again I thank you for another fine product from your company!.......

by:

The only minor issue I had installing was the fact that the "bolt plates" were not long enough to contact the inside of the frame rails to keep the bolt from spinning. Instead, they just relied on friction. So, you had to pull down on the bolt/nut to keep the bolt from spinning until it snugged up.

by:

Fit well, except retangular bolt retainers were too short and were spinning inside frame.

Were you able to get them tightened? If not, an impact wrench will get them spinning fast enough that they'll tighten right up.

@MikeL Yes, they tighten up with just a ratchet. I was worried at first.

by:

Installation was simple and straightforward, especially after watching the video on YouTube. Wiring harnesses underneath were the only annoying part to get around. Given 4 stars, because all of the hardware was not in a bag, but rather thrown on the box and two of the serrated nuts were missing.

by:

Of the 6 hitches that I've purchased and installed for myself and friends since 2022, this one was the easiest of all to install. Took about an hour by myself - would've been a little faster if I'd waited for my Grandson to get home from school to help! Now a lot of this was due to the Mach E. After the rear panel came off, the area was wide open with plenty of room to maneuver. Didn't have to widen any holes to insert the bolts. That was a huge help. Anyway, great install and, as usual, great product and great service from eTrailer. Keep up the good work folks!

by:

Perfect fit for my 2025 Mach E. Easy to install and looks great.
Only reason not 5 star ratting is the instructions. Picture of where the cut out on the bumper is needs to be fixed. My son and I used our jig saw to cut the plastic which worked very well. We didn't need it to be as large as the instructions.
I'm very satisfied with the outcome.

Thanks for being honest and mentioning the bit about the instruction cut out. Hitch looks great! What are you going to be using it for? Bike rack maybe?

by:

Everything was accounted for and installed as expected.

Note: depending on MY and maybe trim/config there are some minor differences in installation from the installation guide regarding what harnesses to unplug/unclip and move for install clearance and a key difference (MY25 Premium AWD ext battery) is that the access slot(s) through the frame is different on the passenger side than the drivers side. But it also may be due to OEM slot tolerance. Either way, all installed eventually!

Oh and don’t hit your head on the bolt end pictured lol doesn’t feel great

@LazerS Mostly to carry bikes on a tray style rack, I did put a riser on that give the bike rack more ground clearance but also allows the lift gate to open with the rack in any position with a bike installed. Maybe tow my motorcycle in the future!

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E
I'd be happy to Dane. To add a hitch to your 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E, I recommend the Curt item # C77ER. The Curt item # C77ER is a custom fit class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It comes with all hardware necessary to complete the installation and looks great once it's all set up. I really like this hitch because once it's installed all you see is the 2" receiver sticking out below your bumper trim. It is definitely worth the extra money. The receiver is completely removable. Installing either the Curt # C77ER or the Draw-Tite # DT92MR on your 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E does indeed require trimming of the bumper fascia due to the hidden nature of how they install. This can be a bit daunting as it is your brand new vehicle, but fret not for it is not too difficult to accomplish. • What Makes The Curt C77ER A Class 3 Hitch?
That is a great question, and yes, the 200 lb TW rating is accurate. The Curt # C77ER is "technically" a class 3 hitch because it has a 2" receiver. The 200 lb TW rating and 2,000 lb towing weight is generally what you see on a class 1 hitch, but since the receiver is 2", it cannot be listed as class 1 or 2. The reason for the low weight rating is mainly because the 2023 Mustang Mach-E is really not meant for hauling weight, so you are limited by the vehicles capacity. This hitch is certainly...

The Curt will sit out a little further out at 14-1/4", and the Draw-Tite will be 13".
