Easy to Install/Remove Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with OEM Rail Kit

Question:

I have a 2022 Chevrolet 2500HD with a 610inch bed with a puck system on order. We will be hauling our Grand Design Reflection 226RK which weighs 9995 lbs with a hitch weight of 1190 lbs. I want to be able to remove the hitch when I am not hauling the RV so weight is an issue.. Which hitch and if necessary slider rails do you recommend?

Since your truck has a longer short bed at 6-3/4 feet and the nose of your Grand Design Reflection 226RK is tapered and it has an extended pin box you actually could get away with a fixed fifth wheel hitch instead of a slider which will save you a lot of weight and will give you a quieter ride quality.

So for a fixed hitch to fit the OEM rail kit of your 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD I would recommend the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3710 as it is the best hitch available but for your needs I really like this hitch because the head of it comes off easily to split up the weight of the hitch which will make install and removal easier. It also has hand holes on the base which make for easier lifting too. The jaw design also holds tightly to the king pin which allows for a very smooth and quiet ride quality.
