Hi Eric,
Thanks for your question.
As long as you are able to remove the factory hitch from your 2025 GMC Sierra 2500, the # C96CR will work as a replacement. Of note, the # C96CR will more than likely mount up a bit differently than your factory hitch. The receiver opening on aftermarket hitches can also end up sitting lower than the opening on the factory hitch because of how they install to the frame.
The # C96CR is rated for up to 20,000 lbs of gross trailer weight and 2,700 lbs of tongue weight, but you'll still want to stay within the towing and tongue weight ratings specified by GMC for your particular truck.
You also shouldn't have any issues reusing your factory trailer wiring and connector with this hitch.
Out of curiosity, what will you be towing with your new hitch?

Thanks for the response. Yes it will bolt up directly but take note, the bumper will not bolt back on because the bumper bolts to the factory hitch.

I am towing an imagine 2400. The hitch i have has a 2.5 inch shank already setup for a class 5 receiver. The factory hitch was damaged, reason for replacement. How much lower does the Curt sit??
