Question:
I do not have a hitch currently installed on my 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500. Do I need to do any modifications to the pinhole in order to fit a hitch pin on the C96CR?

No, you will not need to do any modifications to the Curt Hitch - 2-1/2" # C96CR in order to fit a hitch pin. Since the C96CR does not come with a pin, it is always a good idea to have a locking hitch pin for extra theft-deterrence if you are planning to attach a trailer or accessory. For the pin, I recommend the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # C23519.
