Question:

I have a new 2021 Acura RDX and need a trailer hitch and wiring harness. Curt makes a #13423 hitch for the Acura. I dont understand the difference is with or without a 12 volt Power Precision? Either is expensive around $250 My trailer is a simple light weight trailer with a flat 4-wire connector. You also list a wiring kit that is around $40, however I have no idea what I should get?????

I have an explanation for your 12 volt power precision concern and a great hitch for your 2021 Acura RDX

In order to determine the correct trailer wiring harness for your 2021 Acura RDX - the option for +12-Volt Power Provision or without - you can check out the 8-pin connector on the driver's side interior trim panel. I have attached a photo to help you. I have also linked some installation instructions.

Once you see the 8-pin connector, check to see the number of red wires going INTO the connector.

- Two Red Wires - With +12-Volt Power Provision: Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118800.

- One Red Wire - Without +12-Volt Power Provision: Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118804.
