Can SumoSprings be Used on 2022 Ram 1500 With Weight Distribution Hitch

Question:

2022 Ram Rebel 1500. I have a Fastway e2 1200lb WDH towing a roughly 7000lb trailer. The WDH is adjusted perfectly and the truck rides level and smooth with no wind or even a strong tailwind with the exception of a small amount of poirposing on large bumps. My problem is that in a moderate crosswind the truck feels real loose when the trailer catches a gust. My question is two-fold: will the blue sumosprings help with this and will the WDH need to be readjusted after putting them on?

Hey Ken,

Cool truck, thanks for the photo, and that's a really good question. The answer is yes, the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-40 will help with your 2022 Ram 1500 with that looseness when in the crosswind, even with a weight distribution hitch.

The SumoSprings will compress when that occurs, which are going to stabilize the truck so it isn't as loose from side-to-side like you're feeling. You do want to readjust the weight distribution after you install the SumoSprings # SSR-307-40.
