Recommended Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System For a 2017 Toyota Tundra With Snow Plow

Published 08/11/2021

Question:

I have a 2017 Toyota tundra. I was going to buy a Snow Dogg mdII Plow for home use . I also tow a 24 ft. boat . Before buying the plow salesman suggested timbren bushings. I see different rated capacities on site. Truck does no off road. It is 4 wheel drive. Which timbrens do you recommend. Do they increase height of truck no load.

I recommend the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System # TTOFTUN4 for your 2017 Toyota Tundra with a snow plow. You may see a slight rise in your suspension depending on the condition of your springs. The Timbren springs will be in contact with little to no gap in the suspension when at normal ride height.

These springs are rated for a capacity of 14,000lbs. While your Tundra will not come close to that amount of weight it provides additional support to your springs to reduce sag from the weight of the plow.

During the time when you will not have the plow mounted you may benefit from removing the springs to have the comfortable ride you are used to as the Timbren shocks will not absorb the light bumps like your stock suspension.
