THESE LOOK DIFFERENT TO THE PADS THAT WERE REMOVED, HAVE EARS ON SIDES IS THIS COMPATABLE?

Yes, the ears were added to the Dexter Semi-Metallic Disc Brake Pads # K71-629. The ears are there now to prevent the pads from falling down through the caliper when you are trying to align the mounting bolt or when you remove the mounting bolt.
