This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is built for light-duty towing and gear hauling. With a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 200 lbs, it’s perfect for small trailers, cargo carriers, or bike racks. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening gives you a secure spot for accessories designed for Class I hitches, so you can safely move your bikes, load up extra cargo, or tow a small trailer without strain.
You don’t need a shop lift or welding gear to get this hitch mounted. It uses a bolt-on installation with no welding required, and comes complete with a hardware kit and instructions. The precision, robotic welding ensures everything lines up properly, so the fit is spot-on and solid once bolted in place.
The hitch body is fully welded steel coated in a gloss black powder finish over a protective base layer for superior rust resistance. That durable finish holds up well against the elements while giving the hitch a clean look under the bumper. The hitch fit perfectly. No complaints there, but just an FYI, if your automobile is older or driven alot on gravel, grab a tap to clean out the threads on the car, it will save you some curse words.

Unbelievable! I am 70 years old and it took only 45 minutes to install the hitch. It was so well engineered that none of the bolts were hard to thread in and tighten. The only small issue was the weight was a little bit of a struggle for me - but I got it !

Installation took 45 minutes for the receiver, fit like a glove. Wiring harness went in easy, the stretch to the passenger side was a little bit tight but was able to be tucked away with some doing. Instructions made sense, follow them!
This was supposed to be to fit my car. The bolts are the WRONG size. How dissatisfied I am

I'm sorry your install is being difficult Cindy! It's just about unheard of for the wrong hardware to ship with a hitch. I've only seen it once or twice in my 19+ years here. What is much more likely is that dirt, gunk and corrosion have built up in the nuts that are welded into the vehicle's unibody. Try spraying lubricant like WD-40 into the holes and giving the threads a good scrub with a battery terminal brush like # DW00254. You might need to do this a couple times over the course of a few hours. Once the threads are good and clean, you should be able to install the bolts with no trouble.

Great products..... Took about 2 hrs by myself to install hitch & wiring from start to finish. this was the second time I have purchase hitches & wiring kits and they are very easy to install. Customer service is also great .
I was totally impressed with the engineering of the hitch and the detail of the instructions. It fit perfectly and was a quick and easy install. Can't recommend it enough.

Still everything I wanted, great product!
I bought this hitch for my 2017 Kia Forte ES. It took me about 45 minutest to install it. The directions via Youtube were easy. The only thing to note is that you don't have to loosen the tail pipe as directed as it fit right over the top. The screw holes in the body of the car aligned perfectly.
The installation of the tail light kit took longer then the hitch to install. All hardware fit well. The clips (or connectors) that are attached to the rear car lights were exactly correct.
If I were to come up with a negative, it would be that the screws that attach the center of the tow bar are long and hang down. I hear them scraping the ground when I pull out of my driveway. Not a fault of the manufacturer, I just have to go under and cut them shorter.
I use the bar all the time. I bought a trailer at Tractor Supply. I have a 1 7/8 and a 2 inch ball as I find I need both of them. Great product and company. I highly recommend.
item arrived on time which. was very simple to install the product Packaging was lacking item ended up breaking the box and it got scratched up but it wasn't a big deal since no one will see it but other than that what the cheapest on the internet and the fastest shipping available at the time
