Question:

I was looking at the 80303 adapter and am wondering if this is the shortest adapter you have. I may order this one if a shorter one is not available. I will be using it to carry a bike rack. Thanks

The Hidden Hitch 1-1/4 Inch to 2 Inch Hitch Adapter, part # 80303, is our shortest adapter, but can only be used with a Class II receiver. If you have a Class I receiver, you will need part # HTAD.

Part # 80303 will stick out about 1-1/4 inch less, than # HTAD. You can check the label on your hitch or send us the hitch number to find out if it is Class I or Class II. I am including a link to a FAQ page that will help describe the different classes of trailer hitches.

Please note, using one of these adapters will reduce the tongue weight rating of the vehicle or hitch, whichever is lowest, by 50 percent.
