Question:

Does this kit# TDR2500D increase the payload capacity of my truck and by how much? current payload capicity= 2,330 new payload capacity? I will be pulling RV 5th wheel

None of the suspension enhancement/helper springs we offer will increase the stated payload or suspension capacity of your vehicle, but they will provide additional support for the existing suspension. The Timbren # TDR2500D Aeon springs will offer up to 8600 lbs of support, but they won't increase the vehicle capacity.

The Timbrens are a nice product, but once the preload (gap between spring and axle when rear suspension isn't compressed) is taken up, the springs will be pretty stiff. Given that your 5th wheel pin weight will be quite a bit less than 8600 lbs, I'm not convinced you'd be happy with the ride quality you'd experience when towing.

I'd rather see you use something more pliable like the SumoSpring # SS27GR for up to 5000 lbs of additional support or # SSR-312-54 for 2800 lbs of support. Either of these options will replace the factory jounce bumpers and will provide additional support just like the Timbren product, but the fact that the SumoSpring product is more pliable will provide better ride quality when towing.
