Will the etrailer Hitch for a 2017 Ford Explorer Fit Police Interceptor Models

Does the hitches work if the PIU has the rear crash reinforcement? It is a steel X under the back end of the vehicle.

I do show the trailer hitch options for a 2017 Ford Explorer as fitting the police interceptor models. The police interceptor models will all be the same for the most part so installation and fit should not vary. I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98867. I took a look at the instructions and there is no mention of modifying or removing any exiting crossmembers or supports. I also did not see any reviews of incompatibility with police interceptor models so you should be good to go.

If you can provide a photo of the crossmember I'd be happy to comment further if needed.
