Question:
I am having trouble finding a wiring harness that will plug into my new fire department vehicle. Your T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Code: 118540 does not fit even though it appears to be the correct one. Any help would be appreciated.

Wiring harness # 118540 is specified for the standard consumer version of the 2017 Ford Explorer on which your police interceptor is based. But since police vehicles usually have major upgrades installed, including heavy-duty wiring, there could be different connectors that are not compatible.
If none of the wiring harness kits shown on the lnked page have the type of connector you do on your vehicle then you might consider Hopkins harness # HM40285 which bypasses any factory wiring by installing directly at the tail light connectors. This 4-pole harness has connectors that plug in to your tail light wiring and a single 12V power wire that needs to be run up to the battery. You can refer to the linked help article.
You can compare the connectors in this kit to those at the rear of your vehicle's tail light housings. If they match then this harness should work for you to provide basic trailer lighting.
