This etrailer RV bumper gives you the flexibility to mount your hitch receiver above or below your RV bumper. You can mount your hitch receiver below the bumper if your camper body hangs over your bumper. You can also mount it above to give your bike rack or cargo carrier an extra 6-1/2" of clearance to avoid scraping on uneven surfaces when entering or leaving parking lots or crossing roads.

After a year we’ve learned that you shouldn’t use this ona typical RV bumper. The Casita bumper collapsed under use of this product with only 2 lightweight bikes. Not blaming this product but be very careful what kind of bumper you attach this to.
