Spare Tire For 4 X 8 Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer
Question:
Does the Apogee Optimax folding trailer come with bias ply or radial tires? I want to get a spare, but need to know which type to get. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Apogee Optimax Folding Utility Trailer will use a bias ply tire. Specifically it is a 5.30-12 tire with a load range C.
For a spare tire I recommend the Kenda 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Galvanized Wheel # AM30850. You can mount this to the front of the trailer with the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers # CE22007Z-11050-2. There the tire will not interfere with the folding ability of the Apogee trailer.
