I dont know if you can help me with this, but what is the best way to increase my towing power or torque on my 2014 gmc sierra 5.3 truck?

When considering increasing the towing capacity of your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500, there is something that you need to keep in mind. That is the fact that without serious upgrades to your engine and body, you cannot exceed the towing capacity of your hitch.

However, it looks like the hitches made for your Sierra are rated for weight distribution systems. Using one of these can increase the load your vehicle can handle. For example, the Curt Class IV for your Sierra, part # C14006, has a tongue weight capacity of 1000 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds. With a weight distribution, though, those numbers increase to 1200 and 12,000 respectively.

For a good WD system, I recommend the Blue Ox TrackPro, part # BLU27FR. It can handle tongue weights between 1000 and 1300 pounds and trailer loads up to 13,000 pounds.

Also, if you're looking to tow more, chances are you're towing some heavy loads. I recommend a good suspension enhancement like the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs, part # SS95MR, to keep your ride level and smooth. They have a capacity of 1500 pounds.
