Question:
Hello, I have a Tear Trailer, a Little Guy 6 Wide, that I would like to add brakes to. From what I see in the manual, my axle is a 2500 lb torsion suspension. My axle has a sticker on it with a part number of AL-KO 1444496A. My bolt pattern is 5x4.5 and I have 15 wheels. Can you assist me on figuring out what brake kit I need? I did not see any for 2,500 lb axles. Thank you for the help

I can help you figure out how to determine the correct electric trailer brakes for your Little Guy trailer with a 2,500 lb axle, and there are a couple of things you'll need to know. So in order to determine the correct electric brake assemblies, you need to know the inside diameter of your hub's drum and have a 4-bolt brake mounting flange on your spindle.
For example, you mentioned you have a 2,500 lb axle, so it is likely your drum measures either 7" diameter or 10" diameter. If it is 7" diameter you will need the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 7" # AKEBRK-2.
If your drum measures 10" diameter than what you will need is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" # AKEBRK-35.
You will also need the Brake Adjustment Spoon for Drum Brakes # W80630 and either the Mounting Hardware for 7" Brake Assemblies # BRKH7 or Mounting Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10B.
I have added links below to a couple video installs as well as our entire selection of electric brakes for you.
