Question:

Class 3 Trailer Hitch 13091 for 1992-2000 Mitsubishi Montero In some sites the Class 3 Trailer Hitch 13091 is listed for the Montero 90 LS but not on the curt site, I cannot find any info on the distance between the bolt holes, I believe this will determine if this fits or not, I just need this to be able to mount a bike rack on my Montero. Please advise.

I do have a trailer hitch for your 1990 Mitsubishi Montero, but I spoke with my contact at Curt and he confirmed that the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13091, was designed to fit only the 1992 to 2000 Mitsubishi Montero except the sport model.

The recommended trailer hitch for your 1990 Montero is the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch, # C12181. Both trailer hitches have the same bolt pattern, but the difference is the distance between the top of the trailer hitch receiver and the bolt holes (see photo). These trailer hitches were designed to hang below the bumper and the Curt hitch # 13091, may not hang low enough to clear your bumper.

Please note, Curt requires the use of a stabilization strap like part # 18050 when carrying any non-trailer loads such as a bike rack.
