Recommended Gooseneck Adapter Compatible With Turning Point Pin Box

Question:

We have recently purchased a 2018 Grand Design Reflection 230RL with a Turning Point pin box. We would like to replace the pin box with a gooseneck pin box. The S/N on the pin box is S001152897 LCI 672096 RPO 000100507. What is the Lippert Pin Box number? Nothing seems to match up with the Lippert 0115. Thanks!

I have another option for you, but I confirmed with my contact at Lippert that your pin box is definitely a Turning Point which uses a specific bolt pattern and is not compatible with any other styles of pin box like the gooseneck pin box you mentioned.

Instead I recommend locking out the Turning Point Pin Box on your 2018 Grand Design Reflection 230RL which will turn it into a standard non rotating pin box that will allow you to use a gooseneck adapter like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12" to 16" Tall - 20,000 lbs # CAB-C5G.

Keep in mind that this will move the pivot point of the trailer to the gooseneck ball instead of where the pin box bolts to the trailer so if you have a short bed truck you may run into an issue with cab to trailer clearance when making sharp turns.
