Question:

We just purchased a Rockwood 2896MB fifth wheel. I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 dually Cummins that I will be using to tow it. I need to have a hitch installed. The fifth wheel has a Turning Point Pin Box. I’ve read in another place in this forum that some hitches are better for this Pin Box than others. Does you have any specific recommendations? Thanks for your help.

There are a couple of options that'll work great with your Lippert Turning Point Pin Box, however one hitch stands out to me more than others.

Take a look at the:

-Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115

This 5th wheel stands out the most from the others because of its fast, 1-pin head removal, which will allow for one person to remove the hitch.

Finally, since you're going to use this hitch with your Turning Point pin box, you're also going to need the Sidewinder Wedge for Curt A Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # C16991.
