Question:
Hello. I have a 2003 Pace American Journey 5x8 enclosed trailer. Id like to replace the hub bearings and possibily the hub broken lug bolt. I was referred to eTrailer to find this. Can you help me determine what parts I need? There is only a rubber cap on the end of the axle.

We can help you find the correct bearings on your trailer, which is pretty easy and only takes a bit of measuring. So in order to find the correct bearings you will need to take apart your hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them.
If you are unable to find them, you need to use digital caliper to measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings ride. You can use the photo I've attached to see exactly where you need to measure. For example, if you measure and your inner bearing is 1.378" inner diameter you would need Bearing # L68149, and for an outer bearing measurement of 1.063" inner diameter you would need Bearing # L44649.
As far as the wheel bolt, that is also going to be it's diameter, such as the 1/2" Replacement Wheel Stud, Screw-In, 1/2" x 2" # 25-53 or the 5/8" Replacement Drive-In Trailer Hub Wheel Stud - 5/8"-18 x 2-3/4" Long # 7-232
I've also added a link below to a help article on common bearing sizes, as well as a link to our available bearings and wheel studs; or if you let me know your bearing number or measurements I would happy to try and find the right ones for your trailer.
