Question:
I have a 2020 JL wrangler and a 2018 Scamp 13 camper. The wrangler has an after market 2 hitch receiver and requires a 6 drop to match the trailer coupler. Max tongue weight is 200#. The camper fully loaded will be 80+ of tow capacity so I want a WD/Sway control hitch which will allow backing and tight turns without disconnection. Please advise what you would recommend.

We have the perfect option for a your lightweight Scamp 13 trailer for a weight distribution system with sway control that will also allow you to back up with the system connected, which is the following:
- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0450
There are a number of reasons why I really like the Fastway, starting with its highly effective sway control, which occurs via friction at two points on the brackets to keep your trailer from moving. The e2 is also really easy to set up compared to systems that use chains, and is easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and high quality.
As you can see by the reviews on the product page of this system, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating. It does allow you to back up with the system on like I mentioned, though the shank it comes with has a maximum drop of 2 inches, so for a 6 inch drop you will need to add a different shank, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank # EQ90-02-4340.
The only other thing you will need is a hitch ball, the 2" Hitch Ball # 40038.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0450.
