Question:
Using your etrailer tongue scale will the tongue weight be different if you weight at the ball socket vs using it at the jack footplate???

There might be a slight difference between the tongue weight reading if you measured it at the hitch ball with the etrailer tongue weight scale # e99044 and the trailer jack leg but the difference would be small enough that it wouldn't affect anything. The most accurate reading would be at the coupler whereas if you use the jack leg instead the reading might be a little bit higher.
