Question:

I have a 2020 Gladiator that I am fitting a Rough Country full width bumper sku 10585. Rough country told me the D ring mounts are 3/4 inch. Will these D ring adapters for a falcon 2 tow bar work for me? If not can you recommend one that does? ~thanks

The Roadmaster Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 3/4" Thick # RM-035 will work on the 3/4" thick D-Ring mounts on your Rough Country bumper as long as the holes in them are 7/8" or 1" diameter. One thing to keep in mind is that this will only allow you to flat tow your 2020 Jeep Gladiator if the bumper is rated for flat towing, I did not see any mention of it on Rough Country's website so you will need to call them directly to confirm this.

The Roadmaster # RM-035 will allow you to use Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 without issue.

To complete you flat towing setup up you will also need safety cables, a wiring harness, and a supplemental braking system.

Starting with the safety cables I recommend the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 which have a 6000lb weight rating, and will pair up nicely with the Falcon 2.

For a wiring harness I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which adds a 6-way connector to the front of your Gladiator, and allows the included 7-way to 6-way cord to plug in to the 7-way connector on the back of your tow vehicle to power the required lighting functions. I personally like this system due to the included diodes which protect your factory wiring from feedback or damage.

Lastly for a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to it being very easy to install, and since it is fully removed when you are done flat towing make it something you can use in multiple vehicles should you need to. Adding the 12v Outlet Kit # RM-9332 will give you a dedicated 12v outlet to power the Patriot 3.

It is likely that you will need a high-low adapter to level the Falcon 2 # RM-520 to your tow vehicle, so I have included a link to a helpful article that will go over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

Additionally it is always a good idea to check the recreational towing section of your vehicles owner's manual for any special steps to make your vehicle ready to be flat towed, and for any restrictions.
