Is Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar Non-Binding?

Question:

Im curious how true the non-binding statement is for this BO towbar. I currently use the Blue Ox Aladdin and it binds unless the motorhome and toad are almost perfectly straight and if Im facing downhill I can almost forget it. Anyone have experience in this situation? Thanks

It's difficult to quantify the degree of truth in terms of the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 being a non-binding tow bar.

What I can tell you is that we have not heard about issues with binding, and it is important that you are both in a straight line and on a level surface to make it easier to disconnect; facing downhill and trying to disconnect the Alpha or the (now discontinued) Aladdin tow bar will make the process a difficult one, as you seem to know already.
