Installation of EcoHitch on 2018 Toyota Prius Prime

I bought 2” hitches from you guys For my 2006 prius, 2014 prius plugin And installed them myself with no problem I just bought a 2018 Prius prime premium. I would like to purchase another 2” hitch plus wiring. It would greatly help if i could have written instructions or a video. The 2015 video is for a different generation car generation 4 began with 2017 and ends with 2020 Can you help me. I want to have some guidance before i buy Thank you

Thanks for your purchases, they are appreciated, and we do have a 2 inch hitch for your 2018 Toyota Prius Prime, which is the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7369.

While the manufacturer, TorkLift, doesn't offer online PDFs for some reason, I did get a copy of the instructions and was able to cut out and add them below. I also sent you a separate link to a video installation of this hitch, and hopefully this combination of instructions will give you the guidance you are understandably looking for in regards to the install.

I went ahead and contacted my tech at Torklift (the makers of EcoHitch) about the #EH97FR, and he confirmed that all M12 hardware will be torqued to 70 ft/lbs and all 1/4" hardware will be torqued to 8 ft/lbs. I went ahead and attached the step…

We had a customer submit a photo of their EcoHitch part #306-X7369 installed on their 2018 Toyota Prius Prime which I attached to this page and in it you can see that the hitch opening is basically flush with the rear of the vehicle.

I'd say an inch would be a good safe amount of clearance if the bike rack is one of the more stable options out there, but if it's a rack that has a bit more movement to it the safer measurement might be more like 1-1/2 inch to 2 inch.…
