There are some measurements that you need to take to find out what kind of axle will work with your 1966 Apache Eagle Camp trailer. First measure from one hub face to the other. This is your hub face measurement. The hub face is where the wheel and the hub meet when bolted down. Then measure from the center of one spring hanger to the next.
Try to find the axle capacity, usually it is somewhere on the axle but since it is so old, it may be worn off by now. If that is the case get an idea of how much the trailer weighs and use that to get a strong enough axle.
After some research, I've found that your Apache Eagle has a 4 on 4 axle. Of the 4 on 4 axles we carry we have either 60" long axle # 20440I-ST-60 with a Spring-center-to-spring-center length of 48" OR a 72" long axle # 20440I-ST-72 with a Spring-center-to-spring-center length of 58". These are not confirmed to fit your camper, these are just the ones we carry that seem to be somewhat similar.
If there is no perfect match and the weight of your trailer doesn't exceed 2,000lbs then you can use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer # A20RS440. You can use this type of axle if you have a crossmember above where you plan on attaching the kit.
I've included some videos for you to check out once you've made your measurements!
Take the measurements and see if
