Does Self Install of Furrion Chill RV Unit Affect Warranty

Question:

Calling around, prices to install seem pretty steep at a couple of the RV places in my area. One wanted $250. The other said it would probably be an hour and a half, but wouldnt know until they got into it. about $180. It seems like its pretty simple, and a shade tree mechanic could do it. But, I would want to make sure the 2-year warranty would still be active. My 2nd Dometic AC has gone south in the same number of years, and I am looking to upgrade.

The warranty of the Furrion AC unit part # FR82PV is not affected by who you have install it. As long as it was installed properly the warranty would not be affected.
