Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Forest River Cherokee with a ducted Dometic AC that needs to be replaced. Dometic mfg number B57915.711C0 My thermostat also covers my propane heater and fan. I am looking at an Advent AC to replace it, but was wondering if I need to purchase the distribution accessories or will the unit only go with my current distribution set up?

Hey Annabelle thanks for the information. I have a solution for you. However, we have found out in the last year that the Advent replacement options either don't work at all, are a mess to rewire because the pins don't line up with the correct functions, and they always void the warranty when you connect different manufacturer's components. We do not have a Dometic replacement option either.
The best solution I have for you is to replace your Dometic B57915.711C0 with the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box, Thermostat item # FR69TD for white or item # FR49TD for black. These ducted 18,000 btu units include an air distribution box and thermostat that has the ability to control your propane furnace. These systems have the new R32 coolant in them which is more efficient along with a variable speed compressor. The compressor stays on so you won't run your AC out with constant cycling. It also has a remote which acts as the thermostat in addition to controls on the air distribution box.
Please note you will need the included Furrion thermostat to control your furnace. The remote and controls on the air distribution box will not work the furnace.
Are you wanting to upgrade your AC system or did your Dometic go out?

Thank you for the quick response and info Jerred! My Dometic is slowly dying.. it started with the fan blades randomly not spinning about 2 yrs ago, I'd get up on the roof and manually give it a spin and it would pick up. Then AC unit would just cut out. Today, both came on, but a belt or something must be loose because it's rattling loudly and shaking the whole RV. I read they are only good for about 8 yrs and I'm right there so figured I'd replace rather than try to fix. Like everyone, I'm also need to be thrifty and the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box is a little more than I was hoping to spend. Is there anything compatible that is lower in price? Thank you!
