Will the Curt Q25 Also Fit in the Short Bed 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 OEM Pucks

Question:

I have a 2020 standard bed 6.9ft. According to my Cougar paperwork it will turn 95 Degrees in a 6ft bed. So I guess my real question is, is there any difference in the OEM puck openings in a 8 foot and 6.9ft GMC 2500hd bed or will this fit both puck systems

Yes. The Curt Q25 # C97FR does also fit in the OEM prep package on the short bed (6-3/4 foot) versions of the 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. If you're confident that you won't need a slider hitch or pin box with a rotating turret this is the correct choice,. With that said, it should be noted that the Q25 hitch is not compatible with rotating turret pin boxes because of the spherical axial bearing that the head sits on, so if you would need to switch to one later on to provide turning clearance, you would need to also switch hitches.
