Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at this CURT 18 inch long solid steel two inch hitch bar with the raw finish. Now with this piece you'll be able to create your own hitch accessory. It's a strong, durable, solid steel hitch bar. It is designed to fit two inch by two inch hitch receivers.
This is constructed of a hot rolled steel for superior strength. Has a nice raw finish, which makes makes it ideal for welding 'cause it'll save on the prep time. And if you notice the corners on these, they are rounded corners and are designed that way for greater versatility. So in other words, when you go to insert this into the hitch receiver opening, makes it a lot easier to insert or to remove it 'cause the corners are rounded off. That doesn't get stuck trying to put it in there.
It does have a hitch pinhole in it with a diameter of five eighths of an inch. Weight on this is about 20 pounds. Dimensions, we're gonna measure the overall length which is gonna be right at 18 inches long. And then it is gonna be two inches by two inches square. Product is exactly as advertised. I use it to tow a lumber wagon behind a tractor. It’s 2” size takes out excess play on the drop pin hitch. Makes tight turns and rough terrain much easier - drop pin doesn’t bind and solid connection allow better control. Definitely recommend for heavy duty applications. Be prepared to drill your own drop pin hole.
Product is exactly as advertised. I am using it to tow a pin drop lumber wagon behind a tractor. Better than a hollow or plate receiver as it takes out excess hitch play and increases stability. Reduces wear on the hitch assembly. Definitely worth the $s for heavy duty applications.
This is perfect for your project that requires a 1 1/4 inch receiver. I used it to fabricate a mount that will be used to hold a small winch in the bed of my pickup truck. The winch will be used for dragging things up a ramp -- motorcycles, logs, etc. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that the reinforcement collar has welds on only two sides; it should have been welded on all four sides.
I purchased this part and a 36" piece of tubing from etrailer to make a hitch extension to use with my truck camper. The parts arrived quickly and were well packaged.

I used this thing along with a 3 foot receiver extension to create a cargo area that clears my slide in camper. 20k miles around the country and its still holding up. Saved me about 400$ to manufacture my own hitch
I cut out slots in my trailer frame on the back end and welded this through several framing members to create a heavy duty anchor point for a spare tire or a small bike rack. It worked perfectly and I couldn’t be happier
This was for the base of a generator base to mount on the front of my truck. Quality was as expected. delivery was prompt. I ended up using a aluminum piece instead as the piece was heavier than I expected. I'll use it for another project some day
Used to convert a 2 inch receiver hitch so my 2.5 inch Blue Ox tow bar would fit over this hitch bar. Had to drill one hole to secure this bar to the 2 inch receiver. Worked perfect and saved me from getting another tow bar when I traded vehicles.

Parts were perfect. I used them to weld up a 2” drop for my tow bar on my RV. Since there is no vertical load I just beveled and welded it together.

The three Curt raw steel receiver parts I received were perfect for the custom hitch extension needed for my motorhome. I used them to correct the height of my tow bar for safe towing. There were no ready made adapters for my application and using a combination of two or more isn't really safe to do.
