How To Find Replacement Idler Hub for Load-Rite Trailer with 2,700 Lb Axle
Updated 05/01/2020 | Published 04/30/2020 >
Question:
I would like to replace the hub assembly on my 1988 load-rite boat trailer. Here is the info I have. Model-these were the only #’s I could get I don’t know if there were any that preceded them 82200V. Axle 2700lbs. Tires 15”. 5 holes 5” across 23/4” hole I took those measurements with the are zero’s so if that doesn’t work change them to O’s.I’d would’ve sent a pic except the cover is on the boat and it is heavy rain . We’re under a flood watch.

The most likely replacement trailer hub we have available for a 2,700 lb axle is the CE Smith Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # CE13315. This hub uses L44649 bearings which have an inner diameter of 1.063" and a 10-9 grease seal which has an inner diameter of 1.250". In order to confirm this is correct you will need to verify this as I don't have a way to look up what you have now.
In regards to the bolt pattern, this will be the standard 5 on 4-1/2". I have attached an article that shows the proper way to measure this but if this is not what you have, you'll need to convert using a combo from the list below.
