Can the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse be Flat Towed

Been towing 35 years behind Tiffin Bus....we are buying a 2020 Chevy Traverse...DO YOU ALL KNOW FOR SURE THIS IS TOWABLE?? Blue Ox lover...Thanks for support!!

Yes your 2020 Chevrolet can be flat towed I was able to determine this in your owner's manual. I've looked up the Blue Ox baseplates and found that you have two options depending on if you have adaptive cruise control or not.

For Adaptive cruise use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1738

Without adaptive cruise use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1734

You may have some of the following components but if you do not I will give you my recommendations

You will need specific to your vehicle a Brake Light Switch Kit part # RM-751483 and 12 Volt Outlet Kit part # RM-9332. The 12 Volt kit is only needed for a portable braking system that requires the 12 volt outlet to be active while towing.

For wiring use the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267.

For a tow bar the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar part # BX7380 is hard to beat.

For braking the Portable- Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is the new version of the tried and true portable system

Air Brakes- Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes part # SM99243

Hydraulic Brakes- Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251
