What is the Difference Between etrailer 8,000 lb Landing Gear Sets

Updated 11/20/2025 | Published 04/06/2020

Question:

We have a 2009 crossroads cruiser 5th wheel and need to replace the landing gear and we have an electic motor. We want to know the difference between the RVLG-8,000 and the RVLG-8HDL with handle. They appear to be the same except for the price and the handle. The more expensive one does sound like it has a 1 year warranty. Thanks

You are right on the money with the differences between the two etrailer landing gear sets; the only difference is that one comes with the manual hand crank (handle) and the other does not:

- Manual Hand Crank: Landing Gear Set with Handle - 36-1/2" Lift - 8,000 lbs # RVLG-8HDL
- Without Manual Hand Crank: Landing Gear Set - 36-1/2" Lift - 8,000 lbs # RVLG-8000

Both will have a 1-year warranty as they are the same part. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.

Hello Kyle. Quick question; Why is the one with the Hand Crank less money then the one without? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something before I order. Thanks for your time. David Lindquist

@David Nope you're not missing anything, David. Looks like the one with the handle is on sale right now while the one without handle isn't for some reason. Might as well get you one with a handle!
