I need brackets for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. can you help make sure it is the correct item?

For your 2003 Tacoma part # 1430-3 will not work instead you want the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms part # 1159-1. This is a custom fit for your Tacoma and has all the necessary hardware to install it. You will want a small amount of red Loctite for this part # LT37420 this should be applied to each fastener as you install them. I have provided a video below showing this process. From there simply use the crossbar that came with your Sterling tow bar and it will be direct fit for you.

Of course a tow bar is just one of the main components for flat towing your Tacoma. You also will want a wiring kit for the truck to display the lights, a braking system, and safety cables. If you do not already have these please let me know and I will provide a list of recommended and compatible parts for you to use.
