Does It Matter What Angle The Curt Echo Is Mounted In The 7-Way Plug

Question:

Hello, the 7 pin connector on my Jeep is mounted vertically behind the bumper for off-road clearance. Will this controller work in it is mounted vertically instead of straight out the back?

The orientation/angle of the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 does not matter. I have confirmed this with Curt many times and they say it does not matter what angle the Echo is mounted at, you will still have the same braking power because of it's internal sensor.
