To tow a small trailer with the 2020 Cadillac XT4 you will need a hitch, wiring, ball mount and lock.

For the hitch, I recommend Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C39FR which is a concealed cross tube hitch so the only part of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver.

I recommend using Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118795 for the wiring. The harness plugs into the vehicle wiring behind the rear bumper for an easy install.

Since you plan on towing and did not mention how much rise or drop you need in a ball mount I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. I recommend to take a look at the helpful article I have attached about how to figure the amount of rise or drop you may need.
