I came across this Q and A thread about ARE toppers with the “T” Handles. I have those 2 on my 2012 ARE MX. I am confirmed with the answer given: “As long as your A.R.E. CX series truck cap has a single handle and not the two T handles then the Pop and Lock Power Lock Conversion Kit # PAL9772 will work. If you do have the T handles, which are not suitable for a power option, you will want to go with the Kit # PAL9555 which includes the locking handle. We have confirmed this with Pop and Lock. Both options install by hardwiring into the power lock functions on your vehicle so they will act just like the lock on your tailgate.“ Does this mean that I can convert my “T” handles to power lock with Kit # PAL9555? I’m confused as the sentence before that suggests I’m out of luck?
