How tight should a channel mount coupler like the titan fit in the channel? If there is extra space, should it be taken up with steel washers?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A little bit of play between the coupler and the channel is normal. As long as the bolts are properly torqued, the play won't damage or harm anything.
We've confirmed this with our channel mount coupler manufacturers like Bulldog and Titan.
