Note: (4) 5/8" Grade 5 mounting bolts must be used to achieve the 21,000-lb weight capacity
This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
Unlike most couplers, which only have a pin hole on the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole on the latch and on the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.
Made of sturdy steel, this coupler features a durable black powder coat finish that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish has a 500-hour salt spray rating, making the coupler perfect for marine use.

Hello, everybody. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Demco Trailer Coupler. It's a cast coupler with an adjustable channel mount EZ Latch assembly. Now folks, this is made for a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball. It's rated at 21,000 pounds capacity, and as you can see, all that is stamped onto the side of it as well.
Now, it does provide the connection point for the hitch ball and the EZ Latch mechanism here ensures simple secure hookup and disconnects. I actually pulled a ball for demonstration purposes, so I've got a 2 5/16 inch ball here. And with the EZ Latch coupler, all you simply have to do is drop it onto the ball and it automatically does its thing. Now we are hooked. And then to unlatch it, simply lift it up and it would come right off the top of the ball.
So again, on, off. So, really simple to use. I really like these EZ Latch mechanisms and it's adjustable channel mount, so it's gonna fit a 3 inch channel mount there on the back. And it is 8 1/8 inches long overall by 2 7/8 inches wide. And again, it fits a 2 5/16 inch ball and that 3 inch wide channel bracket, which is just your standard width on those.
It can withstand a 500 hour salt spray rating for marine grade applications. it's SAE J684 certified, and it's a very sturdy steel cast construction. Again, black powder coat finish as you can see, and that's gonna provide excellent corrosion resistance. Now, as far as mounting it to your channel, all that hardware is sold separately. If you don't already have it, you can get that here at etrailer.com along with the channel as well.
Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for your time. As always, stay safe while you're towing.
