Is There Normally Play Between Dexter Trailer Coupler and Channel Mount

Question:
Looking at the Dexter T1882000 to replace a BULLDOG A256C0317. Noticed in the video alot of play in the connection. I have a 14lx dump and the coupler has probably 3/4 of tilt when connected to ball. Is this normal play? Thanks Bill

Hey Bill, there is some play between the Dexter Trailer Coupler part # T1882000 and the channel it attaches to in the review video because Adam did not torque the hardware down like you normally would during the install process. Is the play you have between the hitch ball and the coupler?

Yes, about 3/4"-1" of play when lowering the coupler onto the ball. I do not see any grooves worn into the bolts, assuming the BullDog Coupler bottom holes have worn into slots, allowing that much play. Do you have the hardware available also?
