We just got our 2019 VW Atlas and want to tow our small travel trailer. What hitch do you recommend and what else might we need?

The Curt Class III Receiver Hitch part # C13366 and Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch part # 76176 are both excellent options for a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas. I recommend the Curt option because the bracing for the receiver tube is a bit less bulky which essentially just translates to a sleeker overall look once installed. Furthermore, the Curt option has a much more durable powder coated finish when compared to the Draw-Tite option.

In regards to installation, this is pretty simple. There are only a total of four bolts that need to be installed and there is no cutting or drilling involved. The process should only take you around forty minutes or so with just basic hand tools. I have attached an install photo for you. I have also attached some other parts you will need if towing a trailer.
