Recommended Rear Timbren Springs for 2019 Ram 1500 2WD Towing Travel Trailer

Question:

2019 ram 1500 crew cab Laramie 2wd, I have 2” springs installed in the rear and clearance is only about 2” maybe. I’m about to pick up a 32’ TT with a dry weight of 6500 and cargo capacity of just over 3000 even tho I’m never going to load it that much. With the trailer purchase I’m getting the equalizer wdh. Is there a timbren model that will work for my set up? How much longer are they compared to oem bump stops?

The best Timbren Suspension Kit for your 2019 Ram 1500 2WD is the Rear Springs # TDR1500DQ. These will provide plenty of support for the tongue weight from your new trailer, as they have robust 8,600 pound weight capacity.

I'm not sure how tall the factory bump stops are on your Ram, but I can tell you the Timbren springs have an overall height of 5-1/2" (see attached image). Ideally you will maintain 1 to 1-1/2" of clearance between the spring and contact point after installation. I recommend measuring the height of the factory bump stops to see how this compared and to ensure you will have the necessary clearance available so that the Timbrens aren't constantly engaged.

It doesn't look like there are any Timbren springs available with these dimensions. If you can let me know what vehicle you're wanting to fit these on, I may be happy to track down a suitable alternative!
