Features to know about

Do More with Your Vehicle: Add a Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver

This hitch opens up a lot of options for everyday hauling and weekend trips. With a 3,500 lb maximum gross trailer weight, 5,000 lbs when used with weight distribution, and 525 lbs of tongue weight, it’s built for steady towing and carrying. You can hook up a small trailer, load bikes on a rack, or mount a cargo carrier without worrying about strength or compatibility. The 2" receiver is the standard size that works with most accessories you’ll find.

Built Strong for the Long Haul: Fully Welded Steel Construction

The hitch is fully welded for maximum strength and reliability. Precision robotic welding ensures solid joints and consistent alignment, so you get a tight fit and dependable performance under load. The round-tube design gives it a clean look while maintaining rigidity for towing and accessory use.

Stay Looking Good After Years of Use: Matte Black Powder Coat Finish

The matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat adds serious rust resistance. It also hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than shiny finishes, so it keeps its rugged look even with regular use. The carbide-like texture gives the hitch a tough appearance that blends well with most vehicles and resists corrosion from road salt and weather.

Comparison of matte carbide black trailer hitch finish versus glossy black finish showing texture and shine difference for etrailer Class III 2-inch hitch

Side-by-side image comparing matte carbide black versus glossy black trailer hitch coatings for durability and appearance contrast

Easy Bolt-On Install: No Welding or Drilling Required

This hitch is made to bolt right onto factory holes in the frame, no drilling or welding needed. The complete hardware kit and instructions come in the box, so you can handle it in your driveway with common tools. Once mounted, it’s ready for towing or for adding racks and carriers without extra modifications.

This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.

The hitch/reciever arrived on time. One end had punched thru the box and was hanging out when unloaded from the truck, but no damage fortunately. All hardward was taped securely to the receiver, so did not fall thru the hole in the box. Straight forward installation using the video as reference. etrailer communication regarding my order & shipment has been exceptional.

by:

Installed easy enough on my 2020 odyssey. My van is used and apparently had a hitch already installed and removed. So I didn’t end up trimming the side splash panels as they were gone. Also two frame weld nuts were missing, so I had fun time fishing two of the hex bolts in there and tightening with some nuts from the hardware store.

by:

Customer service was awesome. Product showed up promptly

by:

The hitch arrived today. The shipping box was so mangled. I see a sticker on there about not being able to return open product… that seems to not be relevant for a hitch box. The product looks fine and square still. I plan to paint it anyway to match the bumper color. Install seems straightforward based on the videos and I plan to minimally trim the plastic underlining on our new Odyssey to keep its function intact.

I'm glad to hear the hitch is still in good condition for you to use on your Odyssey. What color will it be painted to match the bumper?

@ClaireH I tried to match the blue… it’s close. Install took a little longer than expected, but the kids weren’t around to help so that is why. I was able to use cribbing to support both sides and did not need to remove the exhaust pipe because I was able to put the rear two bolts in and then squeeze my torque ratchet in above the exhaust. I had to use a box wrench to tighten up the carriage bolt nut on that side anyway as my sockets weren’t deep enough to stay on once the bolt was through the nut.

@James I've never seen a blue trailer hitch before! I'm glad you were able to figure out how to get it installed without dropping the exhaust. Trying to put a trailer hitch on by yourself with the exhaust dropped can be quite the juggling act.

Excellent instructions. Easy to install. Has worked great for the past year.

by:

Product arrived within 4 days after ordering late Friday afternoon during Quarantine season. Packaged well and no damage to the paint was found on the hitch. I installed the receiver hitch on my 2019 Honda Odyssey with my 14 year old son without issues. I bought the hitch specifically to put on a 2 bike rack. The etrailer video installation instructions available on onlinefor this exact hitch for the 2019 Odyssey is extremely helpful and spot on. Very happy overall with the experience and product.

It’s been a year and hitch works great for my Kuat 2 bike carrier. The 2 inch hitch is solid and stable for my mountain bike carrier. Paint still looks brand new on the hitch matte black. Would purchase again.

by:

Really well made, high quality and durable finish.

by:

Super easy to install. Did not have to jack the vehicle up. Instructions were clear and accurate. Although I did unhook the exhaust from the rubber hanger to give me more room to access and tighten the bolts. From start to finish, about an hour to install.
Clean finish, does not protrude beyond the bumper.

It looks great, Tim! Thanks for sending along the photos - its nice to see the finished product :)

by:

The installation went great! Very nice product with all the hardware needed to complete the job. And the full installation videos was the best.

by:

The bike rack was everything they said it would be.The delivery was quick and everything went well. I will continue to buy things from this site.

by:

Can you do it alone? Yes.

Should
you do it alone? Not unless you want to use your own body to muscle the unit around.

After a fair amount of foul language and knuckle banging, it's on. It's very easy to install from from a technical standpoint. I really could have used an extra lair of hands, though. The video makes it very easy to know what to do.

@William That's great to hear! What do you haul with your Odyssey?

by:

Easy to install with the video provided on etrailer website.

by:

I always have a good experience with etrailer. Price was fair and the video instruction is extremely helpful. This one was a little bit of work but not too bad.

by:

Easy installation on my 2026 Honda Odyssey. Minimal trimming of the plastic underbody panel. I recommend having a 2nd person help lift in place to get the bolts started

by:

Perfect fit for my 2026 Honda Odyssey. All the hardware came with it and plenty of videos show how to install. I was able to do it myself without raising the vehicle. Could not have asked for more. Thank you for delivering great product at amazing price!

by:

We were pleased with the custom hitch and expedited shipping. The only thing that needs to be corrected is the corners on the carriage plates closed end need to be trimmed off because they wouldn't go up in the hole.

by:

The Install went great. Came in Friday, I installed it Saturday. Thanks for a well thought out trailer hitch.

by:

Easy bolt-on to my 2020 Honda Odyssey. Hitch has performed well, hasn’t budged even after taking four bikes on a rack from Ohio to Georgia and back.

Glad to hear this was a simple install Greg. Thanks for including the photo! What are your plans for the hitch?

by:

Couldn't have been better. The hitch with hardware was well packaged and all arrived quickly and intact. The hardware & the instructions were excellent. I initially had difficulty with the bolt holes in my vehicle frame, thinking they were stripped because the bolts wouldn't go in. But your instructions about using a wire brush, lubricant, and compressed air worked so that the bolts went in smoothly. Your installation video was also extremely helpful and took care of any concern or question I might have had. I'm very pleased and am already using my van with hitch to pull my 5x10 utility trai ler and make pickups and deliveries, including a John Deere riding mower from 40 miles away.

  • Is There A Trailer Hitch For A 2024 Honda Odyssey That Won't Interfere With Hands-Free Sensors
Hi Shay, The trailer hitch sits within the radius of the sensors so it will block their ability to sense your foot. No matter which hitch you choose the receiver tube will unfortunately interfere. Typically you just need to wave your foot on either side of the receiver tube a bit to find the sweet spot where the sensors can see you. You could go with the Hidden Hitch # DT76GR and remove the receiver tube when not in use to limit the interference with the sensors. That hitch is obviously...

  • What is Difference Between Curt C64NR Hitch and etrailer Hitch that Fit 2019 Honda Odyssey
The main differences between the two 2 inch hitches that fit your 2019 Honda Odyssey is that the # e98855 is a bit easier to install whereas the # C64NR is much less visible since only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper which also greatly increase ground clearance. I would go with the # e98855 for the easier install if you don't mind it being seen!

Both the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98855 and the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7372 are great options for using the Thule ReVert 6 on your 2020 Honda Odyssey. • How Much of a Rise do I Need for My 2025 Honda Odyssey for Towing a U-Haul Trailer?
Hello Casey, Getting things ready for a U-Haul, big move coming up? I just looked up how U-Haul says to measure, and it is a little different than how we do it. On the vehicle end we measure from the ground to the inside top of the receiver, then on the trailer end to the bottom of the coupler. Since you have a 2" receiver and measured to the middle, that puts you at 14", and on the U-Haul side they measure to the middle and it is a 2" ball, so that would be 17". When I subtract the 17-14,...
