When the display flashes a d.C. code, it means no trailer is connected (or at least that's what it's detecting). This could be either because the trailer connection has become unplugged, there is a bad pin, a bad wire or the trailer brake magnets are malfunctioning.
To start, check trailer connector and make sure both the trailer and vehicle ends are free of corrosion or rust and no pins are loose or missing. Also check for any crimped, frayed or pinched wires and repair as needed. I recommend testing the brake output wire (blue) with a tester like # PTW2979 to ensure proper voltage is passing through and not interrupted somewhere along the length of the wire.
I'm not sure what DD error code means as it's not listed on the troubleshooting chart in the user manual. However, it wouldn't hurt to reset the the unit by simply unplugging and re-connecting it after about 15-20 seconds so it can re-calibrate.
Refer to method # 4 on the FAQ I've attached at the bottom of the page to troubleshoot your brake magnets.
If your connectors, wiring and magnets are in good working order and re-setting the Triflex does not correct your issue, it likely means there is an internal issue and the only solution is to replace the controller.
Fortunately, the # C24VV is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. I wasn't able to find a record for your order so I recommend reaching out to the original seller for more details on the warranty process.
