The long 12-1/2" spacing from the hitch pin hole to the ball hole keeps plenty of room between your setup and the bumper for easy hookup.
Slide the shank into any 2" receiver, add a hitch ball with a 1" shank diameter (sold separately), secure it with your own pin or lock, and you’re set to tow. The accessory receiver is designed only for hitch-mounted gear, so it’s perfect for bike racks or cargo carriers when you need to bring everything along.
The receiver portion of this unit is designed for hitch-mounted accessories only. Do not use with an additional ball mount to tow a trailer. When mounting an accessory in this receiver, your hitch's tongue weight capacity will be reduced by 50 percent. When using both the ball mount and the receiver the tongue weight capacity is not affected.
