Question:
I am purchasing a 28 foot car hauler, v nose, with a 8 inch triple tube frame. was checking to see if this hitch most importantly , the bars would clear the frame. or if it wont, could I use a 2 inch raised ball. trailer is 10000 lb gvwr. about 4000 empty. towing with a 2015 Silverado 2500 crew cab long bed 6.0l gas engine. would also be getting the 2.5 inch Titan shank. thanks in advance!!

I have a solution for you but the Reese Weight Distribution w/out Shank # RP66021 that you referenced won't work well for you due to how tall your frame is. So what you'll need to do is install an under slung coupler on your trailer like the # CA-5335-B which basically gives you a coupler that attaches to the bottom of the trailer frame so that you can use a weight distribution system designed for underslung coupler like the # BXW1003 which has a tongue weight range of 750-1,000 lbs. You will have to use bolt on style chain hangers as well like the part # BXW4021 since your frame is so tall.
Only other thing you'll need is a hitch ball like the part # 63845 and you'd be set.
