What Parts are Needed to Flat Tow a 2009 Scion xB with Manual Transmission and No Fog Lights

What other parts do I need to tow a 2009 Scion xB other than this tow bar? It is a manual transmission with no fog lights and I do not have any other tow parts at this time.

The first thing you are going to want to do is consult the vehicle owners manual for the proper procedure on towing the vehicle. If you find that the vehicle can be flat towed you will need 5 items. First, you will need base plates. These provide a safe and secure attachment point on the vehicle for a tow bar. For your xB without fog lights, you would need Roadmaster base plates, # 1187-1A. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
Next, you will need a compatible tow bar for the XL base plates. The most popular option is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. I have included links to the installation details and a video review of this tow bar for you. To go with the tow bar, the third item you will need is a set of safety cables, # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables helps keep them off of the ground.
The next important component you will need is a lighting solution for the xB. You can use the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155. This kit works by placing separate bulbs in the tail light housing of the xB. The light are operated by the towing vehicle trailer connector. You will not need to cut into the vehicle wiring.
And finally, most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Even Brake # RM-9400. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the towing vehicle is braking. Proportional systems are the safest way to stop and they reduce wear and tear on both vehicles.
